Anne Edwards, history enthusiast and museum researcher, will present “The First Salute and the Impact of the Navies of the American Revolution“.  Based on the book by Barbara Tuchman, the program will highlight how the eleven-gun salute to the Flag of the 2nd Continental Congress by a foreign power recognized the American colonies as a separate country on November 16, 1776.
