🌸 Circle of Strength: Wisdom from Native Women
Saturday, March 7
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Native American women are partnering with the museum to present a powerful and inspiring event: Circle of Strength: Wisdom from Native Women.
You are welcome to attend either session or stay for both. No registration is required.

🎻 Laurens Old-Time Jam
Sunday, March 8 & 22 | 2:00 – 5:00 PM
Join us for an afternoon of traditional music and fellowship. Bring your instrument and play along, or simply come and enjoy the sounds of old-time music in a welcoming atmosphere.

Tuesday, March 10 | 7:00 PM
Historian Durant Ashmore will present a lecture titled “The Bloody Summer of 1780,” exploring a dramatic and pivotal period of the Revolutionary War. History enthusiasts won’t want to miss this compelling program.

🌳 Laurens District Genealogical Society Meeting
Thursday, March 12 | 7:00 PM
This special monthly meeting invites attendees to share stories about their Revolutionary War hero or ancestor. Whether you have a story to tell or simply want to listen and learn, this gathering is open to the public.

🎨 Community Art Show
March 14 – April 25 - Traveling Exhibit Hall
The museum is proud to host a Community Art Show featuring works by Barbara and Jim Brinson, along with artists from Jim’s community art class held here at the museum.
The exhibit will showcase paintings, drawings, sculptures, and a variety of styles—from realism to abstract—created by both beginners and professional artists. Come celebrate the creativity within our community!

📚 Book Release & Signing
Saturday, March 21 | 1:00 – 3:00 PM
Peggy Cwiakala has released her new book, A South Carolina Jewel: Celebrating the Laurens County Museum.
The book is available now at the museum for $15. Join us for a special book signing on March 21st as we celebrate this wonderful tribute to the museum’s history and impact.

🌟 Light the Night 5K Glow Run
Saturday, April 25 | 8:30 PM
Our annual Light the Night 5K Glow Run fundraiser is back!
Held at the Swamp Rabbit Trail at the Laurens Chamber of Commerce, this fun evening event invites participants to run, jog, or walk the trail in support of the museum. A Kids 1-Mile Fun Run will also be included.

Carolina Day, June 28, 2026. We will have a full afternoon of activities and the unveiling of the new Revolutionary War exhibit. This exhibit is made possible by a large grant from the SC 250 Committee. It will be spectacular!

Thank you for being such an essential part of our museum family. Your ongoing support allows us to preserve the past, celebrate creativity, and create welcoming spaces for discovery and dialogue.
