We are deeply thankful for our volunteers, staff, and board of directors, who curated inspiring exhibits and created a warm, welcoming space. Together, we continue to honor and preserve the rich history of Laurens County.
🎄 Festival of Trees
Our first‑ever Festival of Trees has been a dazzling success!
• We had over 40 beautifully decorated trees by local businesses, schools, churches, nonprofits, and families.
• Free admission. The Festival ends January 10, 2026.
• Winners have been named! Come see!

Black History Month
This year we will be featuring a traveling exhibit from the South Carolina State Museum on the “521 All-Stars” a prominent black baseball league in SC.
The exhibit will be open January 24th – February 27th.
Museum Hours 10:00am-3:00pm; Tuesday-Saturday.
⚔️ Revolutionary War in Laurens County
Mark your calendars! A powerful new exhibit will open on June 28, 2026, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Discover the pivotal role Laurens County played in the American Revolution.
Smithsonian Exhibit Coming!
We are honored to be selected as 1 of only 6 South Carolina locations to host the Smithsonian’s Americans exhibit!
📅 November 28, 2026 – January 16, 2027
Developed by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian and brought to South Carolina by SC Humanities, this landmark exhibition explores the nation’s shared history as part of the Our Shared Future: 250 initiative.
