Laurens County saw multiple battles during the Revolutionary War. This was a civil war in the backcountry where neighbor fought against neighbor. The sites of the Laurens County Revolutionary War Driving Tour are mirrored in the “Life & Liberty in Laurens County” exhibit. All 14 of the major battles are featured along with the voices of Patriots, Loyalists, Religions, Women and the Enslaved. The exhibit also displays many authentic Revolutionary War armaments. There is an interactive display to dive deeper into the history of the Revolution in our county.
